"Hi Serena,

I had such a good time yesterday riding and pumpkin picking. It's such a treat to not only get out of the city, but to be back on a horse again!"

Lisa D. - Horseback, Apple, Pumpkin and Wine Tasting

"The September 25th horseback ride/kayak excursion to the Delaware Water Gap was a great way to escape the city and spend the day with other high-spirited adventurists. I found the trip to be fun and well organized, as well as a great uppeer and lower body workout. This first trip with the Adventure Society won't be my last! In fact, I'm already looking forward to the Paintball Skirmish in November!"

Sheryl T. - Horseback & Kayak

Evaluation Q&A - How would you describe jumping out of the plane? " Great! The most exhilarating experience ever!" Any recommendations? "Just go with it, don't worry too much."
Natalie L. - Skydiving & Wine Tasting

Evaluation Q&A - How would you describe jumping out of the plane? "I was on Cloud Nine........Best experience of my life."

Testimonial - "My skydive was the ultimate rush and, Adventure Society is the only way to go for this adventure because of the reasonable cost and an extreme value of FUN."

Aaron L. - Skydiving & Wine Tasting

"A group of friends and I went on your white water rafting trip last weekend and absolutely loved it. It was so hot outside and on the water was definitely the perfect place to be. We had our on boat of 6 people which was great! The only thing missing were the water guns - I wish we had rented them as the water fights were wicked! The bailing bucket was a close second best. The bus was nice and lent itself for taking a nap on the way home. By the way, the Storm drink was excellent - definitely a keeper!"

Tom F. - White Water Rafting

"I did not think that you could top the appeal of the horseback riding plus strawberry shortcake and berry picking but the combo with the spa is such an excellent idea as it is just what one needs after a day in the saddle. Please keep up the great ideas for fun days out! And please forward me any details about this particular outing. Thank you so much!"
Laura D. - Multiple Horseback Trips

"Hi Serena,

Just wanted to tell you again that you did a great job last night. As a meeting planner, I notice all the small details at every event - this party went smoothly and everyone had a great time. You were always calm, cool and collected (and looked like you were having a fun time, to boot).

I'm glad I volunteered (and won the Crunch gift bag!) and I hope to be involved in more Adventure Society events!"

Carolyn G. - Monthly Cocktail Party Volunteer

"I wanted to thank you for an awesome day hiking yesterday. I thought the event was very well organized. The trail was beautiful and with just the right amount of intensity. I am looking forward to signing up again in the future for another event!"
Karina H. - Mohonk Hike "A" & Wine Tasting

"A co-worker was talking about a trip they had taken with your company and was telling everyone in the office how much fun they had so I just had to check out your website! I signed up for the horseback, wine and kayaking trip and decided to go by myself because I couldn't get any of my friends to come with me. I'm glad I went anyway as everyone on the trip was so friendly including the trip leader and made me feel really comfortable. I would definitely go on another trip alone in the future! Thank you for a wonderful day!'
Alice M. - Horseback, Wine & Kayaking

"I want to thank you for one of the best vacations I have ever had. It really gave me so much that it is hard to describe. It helped to refocus me to life and the opportunities and love that life has to offer. The trip and the friends that I have now are what life is about and wonderful. Thank you. I look forward to the reunion with both groups. It would be fun to hear about the second trip and their experiences."
C.R. - Dog Sledding in Alaska

"I found the web site and the trip quite by accident. A colleague said "Hey Patti, this website it right up your alley..." By the time she finished her sentence I was already there and within minutes I found the dog sledding trip which just happened to fall during my birthday week and which I had already planned to take off.

I arrived at the hotel in Fairbanks on Saturday evening after a long and uneventful flight and met another of our group in the lobby of the hotel, who I immediately judged as being not hardy enough for this trip - I would soon discover that I was greatly mistaken! I discovered over dinner that we had a lot in common and I now marvel that I flew 3,000 miles to make great friends who all live in my own backyard!

Serena was my roommate and I was amazed at all the planning and work that went into our fun and frolicking and I have a great deal of respect for her ability to pull it all off. As the days went by the bonds formed. By the time Wednesday arrived, our group - Sam, Debbie, Claire, Rebecca, Serena and Mike, the dogsled leader, Casey, Mike's guy Friday and John, the cabin owner were all serenading me with the "Happy Birthday" song over homemade pancakes and bacon during breakfast. It was corny and certainly my best b'day present this year.

From there, we moved on to the Hot Springs in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights which are common that time of year, but not guaranteed. Our patience paid off as we waited in 20 below temps at the top of a mountain from 11pm till 2am when the night sky EXPLODED in color. Rebecca had only just been trying to talk me out of heading back down the mountain when the sky lit up. The two of us hooted and hollered as we tripped over ourselves to tell the rest of our posse a.k.a. "The Spectacles" also alerting all the rest of the hearty souls who were inside the yurt trying to stay warm and patient. No doubt it was worth the wait and the "chill". The rest of the week we soaked in the hot springs and had more laughs as we insisted on group photos every 20 minutes.

Even knowing that we would see each other upon our return to the "lower 48", it was hard as hell to say good bye as each plane took us away from each other. True to our promises, we have made the effort to find more adventures - trapeze school in May, moonlight river rafting in July, and plans for ice skating in December. We have made friends with each other and it happened on your trip. Thanks for the memories!!!'
Patti T. - Dog Sledding in Alaska

"Hi Serena,

It was very nice meeting you the other day at the cocktail party at Taj Lounge. As a first timer at one of your events, I found the people to be much more friendly than the other cocktial parties I've attended in the city! I suppose it was partly because we all knew we were there for the same reason, to share our stories of travel and adventure! I met some wonderful people and look forward to coming on future trips!"
Marina s . - Monthly Cocktail Party

"I heard about your ice climbing trip from a friend and I thought they were kidding. I didn't realize you could ice climb so close to the city! I gathered up a few friends and we all went for our first time and had a blast! Thanks for doing the driving, we have our own cars but after a day like that it was nice to sit back and relax on the way home. You guys are the best!"
Micheal V. - Ice Climbing

"I've always wanted to learn how to cross-country ski, but since moving into the city it's been a bit of a challenge. I'm glad I signed up for your trip and took the basic lesson, it definitely helped me get started. The trails were beautiful and peaceful and it was neat skiing along next to the streams which were open and running in places. I'm going to tackle snowshowing next! And might even consider ice climbing....."
Kathryn M. - Cross-Country Skiing

"Hi Serena,

It was awesome to finally meet you at the cocktail party last night. I was very impressed with the event, with you and with the people I met. I didn't know anyone, and it was wonderful what a community it was and how easy to meet people. Everyone was raving about the events in which they have participated -- further inspiration to be sure.

Thank you again for the inspiration and the great party. I hope to see you at another Adventure Society event soon."

Stephen B. - Monthly Cocktail Party

[POSTING TO A SOCIAL GROUP] "I took my special someone on a sailing trip up to Sleepy Hollow in Mid October and had a fantastic time - Serena is an example of someone doing what she loves, and her passion really shows!

With all the details arranged and the costs defrayed over a group of like minded individuals - it's really an ideal situation. We met a bunch of fun people, had time to canoodle and see the sights. I'm not sure but I think there were only two couples on the trip. So if you're single... you might meet one who shares your interests.

If you haven't gone on one of her trips - you owe it to yourself. Here is her website http://adventuresociety.com/"
Jonathan T. - Sleepy Hollow Sail

"AS has something for everyone. The trips are coordinated to suit all skill levels and the trip leaders always make sure you're comfortable with what you're doing. On one horseback riding trip, I was pleased that I was able to choose a group that reflected my ability.

It's a great way to get out and do adventurous things you normally wouldn't plan yourself...and meet great people, from all walks of life, in and around the city.

As for the leaders, if you're willing to participate, they go out of their way to facilitate a great time.

I can't wait to go on another trip!"

Cueme2 - Multiple Trips

"I went on a Horseriding, Kayaking & Wine-tasting trip over the summer and thought it was great.

This is a fantastic way for busy NYC people who want to relax, get away from the city and have some fun! The people on the trip were friendly, also interested in the outdoor world, and I've actually remained friends with a few of them. These trips allow you to enjoy the activities that are close to NYC but which we don't really take advantage of.

I didn't have to spend hours trying to find each location, I didn't have to rent an expensive rental car, and I didn't have to spend days trying to coordinate the schedules of my friends to keep the costs reasonable. Great idea! I'll be going again soon!"

 Paul S. - Horseback, Wine & Kayaking

"I have been going on trips for over a year now with this company and found them to be quite professional. The trip leaders are funny, accommodating, attentive to various needs (one trip leader taught me how to kayak while the rest of the group raced off) and they're great at introducing people which is nice when you're traveling solo.

What I've found to be great about their trips is that you don't necessarily have to be skilled to go, for instance I took a hang gliding class! I highly recommend going on the trips as they're a lot of fun and you get to meet cool new people! I've even made a couple of friends."
